Well, to be fair, it's amusingly called "first class" in the US. It's true that it's equivalent to an international premium economy product, but domestically the airline's seem to brand it like this, usually so frequent flyers can use their points for an "upgrade" and feel like their getting something a little more special than what it really is. Plus, when connecting to an international flight in a proper lie-flat business class cabin, they maintain their J-class status throughout the entire trip, which means more frequent flyer points accumulated. There are actually a few domestic flights, like yyz - yvr, that use the 787 with lie-flat seats for this "domestic" business class service. The plane is essentially heading on an international flight overseas, but you get to enjoy the added comfort on the domestic portion of the multi-leg flight.

I completely agree with your reasoning. We were originally booked on the YYZ-YYC route with one of Air Canada's A330s featuring "real" business class. Unfortunately, they rebooked us onto this 737 MAX 8 flight, which honestly felt like both a downgrade and a bit of a disappointment. I would have loved to try their true business class on a widebody. That said, I made the best of it and got to experience the 737 MAX 8 for the first time instead.

Your ESTA and passport will do just fine. We also filled out a form for passport control before boarding the bus, but we received it at the bus terminal in Vancouver.

@Ahuntsicspotter The flight was pretty much full, but no grumpy whiskers in sight - just happy purr-sengers! 😺 Since we didn’t have a connection in IST until the next day, we took the chance to stretch our paws, groom ourselves, and dream of kebabs and catnip overnight. 🐾✈️

@peterweverling4139 I would definitely have considered it, looking at the overall ticket price. For my trip, the total final price after bidding for a round trip to Chicago (ARN-CPH-ORD) was EUR 1200, with one way in business (the film you’re watching) and the return in economy. All in all, a very reasonable total price. Sounds like it would be for you as well.

Hi, we had a connection 24 hours later with another Star Alliance airline and yes, we had to pick up our checked luggage.

😬 Luckily I have never had a reason to be in touch with them (so far). Do you have any example?

Actually, I did interact with their customer service at ARN a couple of times last year. The first time, they responded within 20 minutes. The second time, I had to remind them after one and two weeks.

Actually they are inconsistent in service, you can get good crew on some flights, you can also get grumpy crew on some flights too ​@@cihanzumret6534

Agree with that. This was an award trip booked with bonus points with another airline within the Star Alliance. It wasn’t possible to reserve seats with Turkish, not even pay for it.

they do not, but Krakow- Vienna trains are in really good condition and I am sure you will not be disappointed. If you're taking the overnight train there's an option for a sleeping carriage. Its around 7 hr trip one way

Awesome thanks alot for the info. No, our PKP Intercity train is roughly only 5 hours (daytime) but from what I've seen of the PKP trains on UA-cam they look great. Should be a very comfortable trip!

PKP has to wait to 2028 to be able to operate international routes with Pendolino. Those trains were purchsed with EU budget and contract terms limited usage only to domestic routes
